And even if we do not start a project with a client from the Project Initiation phase noted below, as is the case quite often, our commitment to our goals to provide our clients with a superior service remain the same.

This approach is going to vary with each project based on what the project is but the general methods and details are much the same on any custom home, addition, renovation or building.
A custom shop or RV garage is very likely not going to have the same measured approach to Zero Energy Ready as a custom home for example. But the detail that goes into plans and residential design, ensuring that the custom homes & buildings we build meet our building goals is something we consider and focus on with every project. At 208 Design+Build Custom Homes and Renovations we specialize in utilizing innovative and energy efficiency focused custom plans and designs, proven building science and fine craftsmanship to design and build Zero Energy Ready custom. And similar methods in the design and construction of outbuildings, shops and more depending on the use and requirements.
This is one of the first steps in any design and building process, whether it be a new custom home, a whole home renovation or an addition. And in many cases with our residential clients this stage has already been started when they call us...which is okay. We work to help define the project's goals and scope and assist in determining its feasibility based those goals and scope of work.
Securing necessary funding, permits and buy-ins if applicable. Our clients may have already begun the process of sourcing funding or may already have that in place when they reach out to us. If not we also have the experience and ability to guide them and resources they can reach out too. Many owner-builder loans processes require a design, an estimated cost build and a contractor to manage the project secured before final funding for a project is approved.
This process often happens prior or along with the Project Approvals stage. While all these steps or phases are laid out in a very defined list. The process of designing and building a home is an every moving process and with our experience building we know how to navigate this process with our clients. During the design process, our team works closely with you to help plan and design your dream project. We take into consideration all aspects of the project, including budget, timeline, and your specific needs and preferences.
Executing plans, including the site preparation, building and inspections are just a part of the construction management process we oversee as an owner's rep focused construction management contractor. As a RESNET Energy Smart Builder, a Zero Energy Ready Homes partner and a residential design and drafting, energy modeling and consulting and construction management design+build company we use a collaborative approach to project management, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and goals. We provide comprehensive project management and oversight, ensuring that your construction project is completed to your specifications. This process is where we start wrapping things up and includes the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy so that the clients can start making use of that home or renovation they have been waiting patiently for. It is pretty cool to know we are helping our clients build better.
This stage is just what it says. The project if finalized, any documentation an information regarding special functions of our clients new home or newly renovated home is provided to them and all we ask in return...other than our final invoice paid is an evaluation of our service so we can strive to help others clients thru the same process.
